Reunion rumours have been circulating for years, but plans were put on hold in 2005 when Michael was put on trial over child abuse claims.
Michael Jackson is set to join his brothers for a Jackson Five reunion tour next year.
Jermaine Jackson - one of the group's original members - insists his famous sibling will be involved with the string of concerts and he has been present at all the meetings to discuss dates for the shows.
He said: "It could be sometime in 2008. Michael will be involved. We feel we have to do it one more time. We owe that to the fans and to the public. "Michael has to be involved. He is a Jackson. He was at the meetings. Michael will be involved."
Reunion rumours have been circulating for years, but plans were put on hold in 2005 when Michael was put on trial over child abuse claims. He was later cleared of all charges. Jermaine revealed: "There's been so much going on, getting over all the hurdles that we all were faced with during Michael's trial. But we are stronger than ever. I'm going to say, 'Thank you, thank you, thank you,' so much to all the fans and the supporters of my family all over Europe, all over the UK especially, who came out to show their love and their support."
The Jackson Five - Tito, Marlon, Jackie, Jermaine and Michael - had a string if hits in the '70s, including 'I Want You Back' and 'ABC'. They later became The Jacksons after younger brother Randy joined and their last tour was in 1984.
